Di-Soric – Ultrasonic Label Sensors

Ultrasonic label sensors do not just detect very thin and transparent foil labels. They also reliably detect metalized labels and provide sufficient clearance for thicker, folded booklets. The innovative dual operating design – alternately configuration and diagnostics via IO-Link or Auto-Teach with manual threshold value adjustment via plus/minus keys – enables quick commissioning of the sensor.

Ultrasonic Label Sensors

UGUTI Series

Universal Material Detection

Reliably detects a wide variety of label materials, including very thin or transparent foils, metallized labels, and even thick, folded booklets.

High-Speed Precision

Engineered for fast-paced production lines, with a rapid response time of just 0.25 ms to support tape speeds of up to 250 m/min with high reproducibility.

Robust & User-Friendly

Features a rugged metal housing and an intuitive Auto-Teach function. A large blow-out hole allows for fast and efficient cleaning, ensuring process reliability.

Industry 4.0 Ready with IO-Link

Enables parallel operation with a fast switching output for control and IO-Link for configuration, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance.

Key Applications in Packaging & Automation

Complex Product Labeling

Ideal for containers requiring multiple labels, such as a transparent design label on the front and a thick booklet label with instructions on the back.

High-Speed Labelers

The sensor’s fast response time ensures precise positioning of labels on bottles, jars, and packages, even when production lines are running at maximum capacity.

Pharmaceutical Packaging

Provides the high reliability and precision needed for pharmaceutical applications, where metallized or booklet labels are common and accuracy is critical.

Variable Label Converting

Perfect for lines that frequently switch between different label types. One sensor can handle paper, film, and foil, reducing downtime for changeovers.

One Sensor for Every Label

Maximum flexibility thanks to ultrasonic technology.

The UGUTI series is specifically designed for universal application across a diverse range of label materials. Its ultrasonic technology ensures that performance is not compromised by challenging materials, guaranteeing precise and stable process control for any labeling task.

Transparent Labels: Precisely detects clear film and foil labels on any backing paper. Metallized Labels: Reliably identifies metallic and holographic labels that challenge other sensor types.
Paper & Thick Booklets: Handles everything from standard paper labels to thick, multi-page booklets up to 5.9 mm. Short Labels: Capable of detecting labels with a length of only 2 mm, ensuring versatility.
